Report an intimate image shared without consent
If an intimate image or video of you is on Aloop and you did not agree to it being shared, we will remove it. You do not need an Aloop account to ask. This page explains how, and what we do. It is our notice of our removal process under the federal TAKE IT DOWN Act. Sharing intimate images of someone without their consent also breaks our Terms of Service.
If you are in danger right now, call 911.
1. How to ask us to remove it
You can ask in either of two ways:
- Use our report form (the link opens it for this kind of request).
- Email us at reports@aloop.jewelry.
You can ask for yourself, or for someone else if you are authorized to act for them — for example as their parent, guardian, lawyer or advocate.
2. What your request needs
The law sets out four things a request must include. Please give us all of them:
- Your signature. Typing your full name counts.
- Where the image or video is. A link to the listing is best. If you don't have one, describe it well enough for us to find it — the seller's storefront name, what the listing shows, roughly when you saw it.
- A short statement that, in good faith, you believe the image or video was shared without the consent of the person shown — with anything that helps us understand that.
- How to reach you — an email address, and a phone number if you like.
You do not need to send us a copy of the image.
3. What we do, and how fast
- We remove it within 48 hours of receiving a valid request — sooner if we can. Removal takes the listing off Aloop and cuts off public access to its video and photos.
- We look for copies. We make reasonable efforts to find identical copies anywhere on Aloop, and remove those too. Removed images and video are also taken out of any Aloop marketing.
- We may ask you for more information if your request is missing something the law requires, including enough to let us find the content. We'll email you, and our 48 hours run from when your request has it. We never hold up a complete request to ask for more.
- We don't tell the uploader who asked. They are told their listing was removed for breaking our rules.
- We may also act on the uploader's account, up to closing it.
We reply by email to let you know what we did.
4. If the person shown is under 18
Tell us that in your request. We remove it, keep it only as the law requires, and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). You can also report it to NCMEC yourself at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678, and NCMEC's Take It Down service can help get it removed from other sites as well.
5. What we do with your information
Only the people who handle these requests can see what you send us. We use it to find and remove the content, to contact you about your request, and to keep a record of what we did. We never show it to the uploader or anyone else on Aloop, unless the law requires us to, such as under a court order. Our Privacy Policy explains more.
6. Make a request
Our report form asks for each of the four things above, and we confirm by email when your request arrives.
You can also email the four things to reports@aloop.jewelry. The 48 hours run from when your request reaches us, whichever way you send it.
